A Beginning...

With every journey there needs to be a beginning.  Right now I'm sharing a couch with B. who is two years old and happily licking a peanut butter spoon while we watch the Olympics.  He seemed to get really excited by watching the gymnastics and asked if we can go "jumpy-jump" out back on our large trampoline.  He may be strong spirited, have a fierce temper and stubbornly independent but at least I will not have to worry about him giving up on life.

Phelps just won the gold, not too surprising.  One of the nice things about having a TIVO is that we can fast forward and record stuff that we actually want to watch.  Anyone know why the Olympic swimmers are sipping the pool water and spitting it out before they race>

This is going to be a busy weekend, we have family coming from out of town, a birthday party, an outing to Loch Lomond to go kayaking   J. is finally coming home after being on a 16 day vacation with his father.  This is the longest time we've been apart and it's been really hard on my spirit.  I never sleep when he's gone and Ass Hat only let him call briefly a couple times during the trip.  We fixed up J.'s bedroom as a surprise, I hope he enjoys having a more mature looking space.  The problem with living in a tiny two bedroom house with a family of four is that you are having to make decisions on what really needs to stay and what we should donate to Valley Churches United.  I think my on campus apartment was larger that this tiny little house we rent.

I see a very handsome man I need to go cuddle, time for blogging to end.
